About me

My passions in life are to wanting to help individuals improve their health and wellbeing, my two chocolate labradors Bert and Elsa and Welsh rugby! These passions are underpinned by my core values which include integrity, so important to be honest with yourself and others; gratitude, appreciating my family and friends and courage, finally taking that next step along life’s path.

After a lifetime in the financial services sector, I wanted to take the opportunity to become more involved with helping to improve the wellbeing of individuals. I have always been interested in health and fitness, worked in a gym as a qualified weights coach many years ago and completed a course in nutrition so that I could learn more about how food affects our body. Even though I wouldn’t consider myself a runner, I have also run a few half marathons and completed the London Marathon in 2009, all to raise funds for Cancer Research Wales. It is surprising what you can do when you put your mind to it!

About Andrea Cryo Therpy specialist
People often ask where the creation of Cryo Wellbeing originated from.

The creation of Cryo Wellbeing was inspired by the improvement in the health of one of my friends Debbi, who suffers from fibromyalgia. Seeing Debbi change from being in chronic pain, highly medicated with extreme drowsiness to effectively managing her pain, with no medication or side effects and living a normal a life again was immense.

My life was transformed by cryotherapy and I urge people suffering with chronic pain and fatigue to try out this therapy.

13 years ago I was diagnosed with the debilitating chronic illness Fibromyalgia and I was resigned to simply managing my symptoms with medication as no alternative treatment of the illness could be found. A friend told me about cryotherapy, a freezing technology that triggers a natural physiological reaction to cold temperatures resulting in increased blood circulation that provides benefits for the body. Whilst cynical I undertook a series of localised cryotherapy treatments with outstanding results.

Being in pain daily or asleep for days at a time was having a negative effect on my family life – with fibromyalgia everything hurts and what doesn’t hurt doesn’t work! After a handful of hour-long treatments I felt the pain and fatigue lessen and after just 12 treatments I felt my life was back to normal pre-diagnosis.

Family and friends are astounded at the results – I have my life back and now I maintain my health with regular treatments and zero medication – I don’t ever want to return to a life of pain. fatigue, low energy and no zest for life.

Inspired by Debbi’s improvement in her health, I studied sports massage and completed further research to understand how fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome works. My vision grew to include cryotherapy, sports massage and wellbeing coaching into my treatment plans, to give my clients a more natural, holistic, balanced approach.

Having retrained as a Cryotherapist, Sports Massage Therapist (Level 3 accredited) and Wellbeing Coach (accredited through Chrysalis Effect and The ILM), Cryo Wellbeing has been created.
